Studies shows that it also lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Garlic is best eaten in its raw form as cooking can destroy some of its active ingredient.
Ginger has been known as a medicine since ancient times. Modern research shows that ginger helps to reduce inflammation in the body and inhibits the development of atherosclerosis in our arteries and lower blood pressure. It also helps to lower blood cholesterol and triglycerides level and - as an antioxidant - prevents the oxidation of LDL or "Bad" cholesterol.
Tumeric which is a close relative of ginger is a wonder spices with the ability to prevent many disease. It has strong anti-inflammatory and antiozidant actions and can lower cholesterol levels as well as prevent the oxidation of LDL or "Bad" cholesterol. By the way, tumeric is the main ingredient in curry powder!
